Training & Development Second to None
Training & Development
At Warrens, we are committed to ensuring the equality of opportunity for all, throughout every department.
We know that providing great service starts with every single one of our 500 team members, so we provide a rich training and development programme. We work with LearnDirect and Telford College to offer vocational courses to ensure that every member of staff can perform their duties to the best of their ability. All Warrens team members can undertake first-aid training or a 3-day health and safety course, with regular refresher courses to maintain their skills.
Our LGV and PCV drivers take the Driver Certificate in Professional Competence (CPC) when they join us, and we expect them to maintain extremely high standards of customer care, health and safety and efficient driving everyday. Standards are verified through use of VeriLocation tracking, which also allows us to provide real-time information on consignment progress to our clients.
Forklift and Powered Pallet Truck (PPT) operators are trained to ITSSAR standards and are provided with regular refresher training. ITSSAR (Independent Training Standards Scheme and Register) is an accrediting organisation approved by the Health and Safety commission in the Approved Code of Practice for Lift Truck Operator Training. All employees who operate mobile equipment are provided with regular updates and refresher courses.
At Warrens we ensure that all of our team members have access not just to all relevant on job training, but also have the opportunity to train for further skills and roles. All of our training course are provided by accredited bodies such as Learndirect and Telford College.
We believe that First Aid training is paramount to having an effective team, that is why we make First Aid training and qualifications available to all team members, alongside Health & Safety at work courses all supported by regular refresher courses.
PPT and Forklift training
ITSSAR courses ensure that all of our team members who require PPT or forklift training receive courses by a company with accreditation’s from the Health & Safety commission of Code of Practice for Lift Truck Operator Training, again all supported by regular refresher courses.
At Warrens we ensure that all of our Drivers have a minimum requirement of a Driver certification Professional Competence (CPC) giving our customers compete piece of mind.
Each new driver to join us at Warrens will also undergo our own two day competence training course before hitting the road. This ensures that they understand the exacting standards expected from a driver at Warrens.
